Citric Acid

A specialty spotting formulation that can also be used to correct BHT/BHA yellowing/browning on carpets. It is also used for removing an over-application of fluorochemical.

Economical
Citric Acid coverage is up to 1000 square feet per pound. Dilution: To make a 5% solution mix 6 ounces of Citric Acid to 1 gallon of water. 1 pound makes 3 Ready To Use (RTU) gallons. Where a 10% solution may be necessary mix 12 ounces per gallon.

Benefits of Using Chemspec Citric Acid:
 

  • Corrects yellowing on 5th generation carpets due to excessive alkalinity.
     
  • Can be used up to a 10% solution with out rinsing.
     
  • Used to remove yellowing caused by over application of after-market fluorochemicals on carpets.

     

    Directions:
    Pretest for colorfastness in an inconspicuous area before use. See dilution chart. Spray onto carpet, apply evenly. Groom or brush into carpet. Under certain circumstances rinsing may be necessary.
